Electronic Technical Manual (ETM) Development

VDL-5 authors convert military paper Technical Manuals and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) maintenance manuals into several varieties of electronic format to create Electronic Technical manuals (ETMs). COTS manuals are then translated into military specification compliant format. These standards include, but are not limited to; MIL-HDBK-1222, MIL-STD-40051, MIL-STD-2361 and S1000D.

The source materials are analyzed to ensure that all sections are available to meet the required spec and additional sections are created to fill the gaps. VDL-5 authors insert warnings, cautions and notes along with military approved icons.

VDL-5 can create Computer Based Training (CBT) taken right from the ETM material to accompany the ETM.  This training can be developed for classroom as well as on-line training.

VDL-5 can provide a final product that can be printed or viewed on a computer as a Class 0 to Class 3 ETM.
